Institute of Textile Technology, Choudwar was established by Govt. of Odisha in 1983, was offering only Diploma Course in Textile Technology. to meet the growing technical man power need in the state as well as in the country. With the advent of technological development & need of qualitative technical man-power in other fields, Govt. of Odisha had pleased to start 3 years Diploma course in E.T.C Engg. & Mechanical Engg. in the year 2007. Again in the year 2009 another Diploma course in Mechatronics Engg. was introduced 1st time (in Odisha) in the same Institute. In the year 2010 Diploma course in Civil Engg. & Electrical Engg. had introduced. Recently a Post-Diploma course in Industrial Safety has been running from the academic session 2013-14. All the courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi & Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Odisha. Institute of Textile Technology, Choudwar is the only Institute unique in features providing education in Textile Technology.
The Institute is located at the heart of the oldest Industrial town of Odisha “Choudwar”, which is 15 KM away from silver city Cuttack and 35 KM away from temple city Bhubaneswar (Capital of Odisha).
